Last week, a few of our team members left the City of Angels for the City of Lights to attend Affiliate Summit West. During the three days in Las Vegas, they enjoyed non-stop networking, attending insightful workshops, and the opportunity to meet with our affiliate partners face-to-face. As the biggest affiliate marketing event for affiliates, advertisers, ecommerce sellers, content publishers, networks, and tech suppliers, we were surrounded by about 6,0000 professionals each day. Caesars Forum was filled with great conversations, passionate energy, and innovation.
One takeaway from our senior partnership manager, Tyler Goodman, was that card-linked offers (CLOs) are gaining momentum. These are rewards that consumers earn, usually as points or cashback, when they use a participating debit or credit card at a designated retailer.
Tyler explained, “Many partners, both existing and new, are seeking creative ways to initiate this solution with brands. Understandably so—the potential for a new revenue opportunity, coupled with improved tracking and customer targeting, is getting easier as integration with networks progresses, making it a seamless extension of a brand’s program.
Our CEO, Jonathan Moisan, highlighted the eye-opening experience of meeting with various networks and really understanding upcoming changes that each is making.
Jonathan said, “It is amazing how innovative they all are and everyone is working really hard to make the affiliate space more attractive for advertisers. Meeting with so many of our great partners – from network, to publishers, to clients, to prospects, and more – ASW brings together so many different aspects of the affiliate world under one roof.”
Outside of the conference hours, our team embraced what Sin City has to offer. Which included an amazing group dinner with our sister company, Mosaic Digital Systems, at Komodo. They even greeted us with a custom menu! And at least one club was visited – but you know what they say about some things staying in Vegas.
However, not everything Vegas stayed and our team is eager to bring back fresh industry insights to our Santa Monica office. Starting 2024 off with a three-day convention has positioned us for another strong year. While we regularly meet with partners digitally, seeing each other in-person is always incredibly beneficial to re-aligning objectives and discussing annual goals and initiatives.
This experience further fueled our excitement for 2024. We’re eager to keep the momentum going and continue to explore innovative solutions to better serve our clients.
