Early Insights Into Cyber Week 2024

November has officially kicked off the holiday shopping season, with momentum building well ahead of Cyber Week, which is from November 28 (Thanksgiving) to December 2 (Cyber Monday). Early promotions have already set the stage for another record-breaking season, with retailers launching sales earlier this year, partly due to Thanksgiving falling on a later date. This proactive approach by retailers and eager shoppers has created a ripple effect across the e-commerce industry.

Comparing November 1-24 to October 1-24 this year reveals how eager consumers are to participate in online holiday shopping. Our clients experienced a 34.05% increase in affiliate-driven revenue, fueled by strategic affiliate partnerships and targeted promotions. While the increase was across the board, some verticals really stood out with exceptional month-over-month growth, the top five verticals are:

  1. Sleep: +165.52%
  2. Children & Baby: +96.45%
  3. Mature & Adult: +95.3%
  4. Gifts & Flowers: +90.68%
  5. Financial Services: +90.64%

These early results from the holiday shopping season emphasize the importance of early campaigns, as consumers are eager and prepared to start their holiday shopping before the traditional timeline. Looking ahead, the rest of Cyber Week and holiday season promises even more opportunities for brands to see significant growth through affiliate marketing. With Black Friday and Cyber Monday just days away, we expect revenue to continue to surge as consumers take advantage of the biggest sales of the year. Stay tuned for a full breakdown of Cyber Week affiliate performance as we go through the busiest shopping period of the year.
